Bio: My research interests lie in the study of therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases. The pursuit of my career goals has led me to several research opportunities around the country including developmental neurolinguistics at the Callier Center for Communication Disorders in Dallas, legume and tree nut allergens at the U.S. Department of Agriculture in New Orleans, and, most recently, tyrosine kinase inhibition for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases at Georgetown University in D.C. After earning my B.S. and M.S. in Neuroscience at the University of Texas - Dallas, I was accepted to the Ph.D. Program in Pharmacology at Georgetown University. I joined the Laboratory of Dementia and Parkinsonism in January 2015 and am excited to continue my thesis work with Dr. Moussa, in the Translational Neurotherapeutics Program, and the Translational Biomedical Science Program.
